Seconding Granny Jan (and kitteh's) sentiments!

Has he had a nose job? Looks pretty much just like FMD's to me.

Reposting myself (is that kosher?) from the footsballs thread, new news to ensure you sleep soundly:

205 Speaking of football, this just came in c/o War News Updates:

"Chinese hackers break in to White House military office network in charge of the president's nuclear football"
http://freebeacon.com/white-house-hack-attack/

"...likely the work of Chinese military cyber warfare specialists under the direction of a unit called the 4th Department of General Staff of the People's Liberation Army, or 4PLA."

"It is not clear how such a high-security network could be penetrated. Such classified computer systems are protected by multiple levels of security and are among the most 'hardened' systems against digital attack."

I blame the programmers. :/

I went to Ann Barnhardt's site yesterday, for the first time in a while. Doom all the way down. To think I was actually becoming enthusiastic at the prospect of eight years of Romney-Ryan! I don't mean I'm Concerned. Rather, all my cynicism has been reinvigorated. I wish I could just blow off what I read.

Still, even if it's all charade, smoke and mirrors, a giant reality show put on for our entertainment while our grandchildren's pockets are robbed... then, give me my illusions because I'd still infinitely rather have Mitt & Paul than TFJESCOAMF and Pootchall Backinchanz!

Well, by coincidence, just a couple of days ago here at home, we were talking about O's drug use on the golf course, and other opportunities for both hanky and panky. So, I'm a married hetero male and this idea is anything but surprising to me.

But, then, I've been reading HillBuzz for a while. ;)

I'll say it again. If we had the nics on top of the message, I wouldn't keep finding myself well into a comment before realizing who I'm reading and change channels. (You do have the AoS channel-changing plug-in, right?)

I'm pretty sure Reader C.J. Burch put a good-size dent in the desktop up there. And rightly so.

An exercise in self-restraint to be sure. Bet it wasn't even good music. :/

God bring you peace, Truman.

When you wrote she'd been administered last rites, you said she was 95? That's a blessed good run. Mom is 92, and in remarkably good health, but has already had a couple of bad falls and, you know, 92. Still, I say, "so young." Time marches past too quickly. I keep trying to get a recording of her stories whenever we're sitting around talking. Wish my kids already had kids so they could get to know her.

I was just reading the other day on here, don't hate your enemy; it spoils your aim. So, why choose?

Okay, deep breath, quiet the mind, remember your mantra, and SQUEEZE!

You tell me. ?

Did I say Chrissy's infographics were too info v graphic the other day? Here, Chrissy's infographic tells the story at a glance. Grand slam!

Basically just that one little happy Presidential couple, plus, I imagine, the kids. And Gramma. And Val. And Reg. Well, still, just their little family. The British, meanwhile, get the whole royal family for a fraction of the cost.

If we compared the income from the Royals, from tourism to tabloids, bet we'd see that's a bargain! Obama, counting all he's done... not so much.

Okay, styling fails. Good to know.

I just got around to adding it to my heap o'links, and I needed to sound off. As this is a couple of days old, I might've put this on today's Saturday Grudge, but ~sob~ there isn't one.

Here's the actual news in the article:

Just minutes before Romney was scheduled to leave town on his campaign plane Wednesday… a Boeing 737 named Ely… flew in loaded with Ohio veterans returning from a day-long tourist trip to Washington… touched down at Toledo’s airport and parked a few hundred yards from Romney’s plane…. Romney walked across the tarmac to greet the returning World War II and Korean War veterans. He shook their hands, one by one, as they deplaned on a ramp from their Miami Air charter jet. “Thank you for your service,” Romney said, over and over again. “Welcome home.”

Now, here's the whole article, with Philip Rucker's propaganda re-inserted:

Just when you thought Mitt Romney couldn’t catch a break, he got one.

It came in the form of a Boeing 737 named Ely, which flew in loaded with Ohio veterans returning from a day-long tourist trip to Washington.

Just minutes before Romney was scheduled to leave town on his campaign plane Wednesday, to the pleasant surprise of campaign aides, Ely touched down at Toledo’s airport and parked a few hundred yards from Romney’s plane.

The Republican presidential nominee, who polls show is trailing President Obama in Ohio, sensed an opportunity to show his support for military veterans. So shortly after 8 p.m., Romney walked across the tarmac to greet the returning World War II and Korean War veterans. He shook their hands, one by one, as they deplaned on a ramp from their Miami Air charter jet.

“Thank you for your service,” Romney said, over and over again. “Welcome home.”

The press corps dutifully recorded the moment and beamed the images across Ohio and the country. And with that, Romney may have won over a few more voters.

SSsssssiiiiiggghhhhhh! Do people like Rucker know they're outright writing propaganda editorials, or are they so intellectually insulated they really think that's journalism?
