Maybe be back later. Gotta spend some quality time with Milady.

antisocial justice beatnik: Jane was on earlier and she's okay.
Good to know. Thanks.

cfomahm: I have been in that hell since my trip to the World's Fair in 1964. It was cool at the time - now, not so much. And you kids - get off my lawn.
I was there. Best part was hacking the terminals at the IBM exhibit. (Stands on lawn, smiling.)
Sherry McEvil: ...I am not trying to start a theology war--so don't go there, but, I am looking forward to seeing all my loved ones in Heaven--people and pets.
Hug for Sherry.
Link to my theological pontification from the Aug 21 book thread about that. Because... um.. because.
Great. I spent the afternoon listening to songs from last night's ONT. And blues posted by Pistol Pete. Now, tonight I get a bucket of earworms of worst songs ever.
Hell would be being stuck on the Disney ride listening endlessly to "It's a Small, Small World."
Sherry McEvil #187: ...Texas passed a law requiring at least 10% ethanol in all gasoline a few years ago. ->- That was my shocked face at Texas doing such a thing to the oil industry!
Hi, Sherry! Seriously? Just one more strike against that state whose main purpose is to separate Mexico from Oklahoma. ![]()
Hey, last I read this morning (wasn't it?), Jane D'oh had things crashing on her roof in the hurricane. Anyone know of further report?
Worst song may depend on context.
That summer that they kept playing Jose Feliciano's "Light My Fire" and all you wanted was the Doors - the long version that never got played again.
LightMyFire LightMyFire LightMyFire LightMyFire LightMyFire LightMyFire LightMyFire LightMyFire
BTW, For those who didn't get enough YouTubes in last night's music fest, today, Pistol Pete at Polination linked to several blues classics.
"Old, fat white man plays the blues"

Squeaking of "green energy projects" - here in Oklahoma, a company delivered gas that had an overabundance of corn oil ethanol, causing a big recall, lists of dozens of affected stations in the news (including Tinker AFB), and who knows what kind of damage to unsuspecting motorists' vehicles.
The prices are always higher at the station where we fill up, because they have only unsubsidized non-ethanol gas, but at least I don't have to worry about too much high-fructose corn syrup in the tank. Um, unless they get a wrong delivery, I suppose.
A day with three flaming skulls is a day that warms the cockatoos of my hearth.
Bob: "My options were to a) die or b) learn not to care. Easy choice."
Sadly, some might see that and wonder which was the easy choice!
Happily, hooked to this in the blog-heap, noting that it's "Bluebird posters weighing in on a hefty subject."
Amusing that a meme can seem overused and then there's a great variation on it that makes it funny all over again. (Like the Hitler vids.) This one really had me chuckling. Linked from my blog-heap o'links because, funny & effective message!
That sick, wet sound you heard is me hitting the wall.
So, Good Night, Gracies. Remember, "Be of good cheer!" - it's not just a good thought - it's the word of the Son of God.
Bandersnatch: You're lucky no one's here. This could have been the start of a meme.
Whew. Yeah. At least I didn't kill anybody like Fenelon...
Nobody here but us chickens. As they say.
Say, this Stevie Ray Vaughn take on Little Wing... it's no Jimi, but it has its moments.
qdpsteve - good night, sweet dreams. Don't let the bedbugs bite.
I so rarely am here in time to say g'night to steve.
Me: Happy to report that my mom and our daughter...
Bandersnatch: Speaking of phrasing.
Hah! I think I re-wrote that sentence three times. Something plainly got lost in the editing.
"My mom, and her granddaughter, my and milady's offpring..." ... hm might still need work.
Proper phrasing, and punctuation, can take so many syllables and keystrokes, but is never time wasted.
Farmer: ...Hope you are al behaving here tonight. I'll try to catch up and finger out.
Um... Simply saying "phrasing" doesn't seem to cover this one. But, have fun.

Happy to report that my mom and our daughter arrived safely in California for mom's baby brother's 95th birthday celebration. Survived the TSA gantlet.
Home. Dog is out barking at life. I'm inside listening (SURPRISE!) to music from the post.
Just got through the Zappa Stairway to Heaven cover.
Someone said Zappa looked bored. He always looked aloof.
I was most fortunate to see him several times.
One time I saw him not so aloof was when the Mothers were the homecoming band at my college (seriously - guess where & when) and at one quiet point, some guy in the audience called out, "EAT ME FRANK!" Zappa did a long pause, smiled, and managed to say, "I hope that's a girl with a deep voice!"
Oh, he was also delightfully genial introducing guest star "Mister Sting" at a great concert in Chicago.
Tonight's kbdabear Ginger pix only get a 42% from me.
That's a personal (not an East German judge) judgment - because of the ginger-pain, -heartbreak, and -soul-consuming factor, of course. The last one with the two redheads? Not fair!
Just for contrast, the all-nip posts last night got 200%. (That's 100% times, you know, two.)
Seven hundred ninety-two megabytes of music video in that post.
Glad I ran into it while in town with the no-limits cable. Would not have wanted to burn up my capped rural cell connection.
Whew, Mis. Hum. Pace yourself. Isn't that how Maet burned out?
