Hiroshima and Nagasaki meant VICTORY

I can't believe it. I sit through this Trifecta - and sometimes you guys are a real trial for us short-attention-span just-give-me-the-facts-ma'am I'm-not-living-forever older folks - I'm watching your most excellent work, I'm weeping, I'm saying aloud, Yes! Yes! and the like.

Then I get to the end and Vodka Green says, "It's been noted that wars that begin with surprise attacks end badly," and cites Hiroshima / Nagasaki.

ARE YOU F'ING KIDDDING MMEEEEE???

Let me spare you the Long Lecture and just mention my Uncle, who had just finished help defeat the Nazis, and was being shifted to Pacific Duty to invade Japan, when THE WAR ENDED!!!!!! I, and all his relatives including his great-grandchildren are rather happy to have him around, seventy years later. Need I mention the medals prepared for the Invasion of Japan? IT WAS, if you'll excuse the all-caps, THE MOST DECISIVE, EXCELLENT, COMPLETE, and PERMANENT end to a war one could ever hope for. THE WORLD SUDDENLY WAS AT (relative) PEACE. VICTORY!!!!

So, in case you don't quite understand, I'm saying I'm not quite sure what you mean by "ended badly."
