I grew up in the prairies

(Seem t'have the place t'myself.)

I grew up in the prairies and spread-out, sunshiney life of the South-West. Old cities with their cramped, dark breezeways and walkups felt like a prison from a past century.

Then, somehow, I spent fourteen years managing and living in those crowded walkups, and raising our children - initially - among them.

I could never go back. But there was one thing, in the early days, that made Big City apartment life livable. Diaper service.
