If our enemy thinks us weak and consistently cowed

A though about Boston, how we handled it, and how the world, esp. Al Gore Kii-duh, sees us consequently:

2001-9-11, three planeloads of people we're passive because the old hijackers were not so suicidal as political. Plane #4, as far as we know, by the miracle of modern tech, evaluated the first planes, realized their situation, and changed tactics.

I would hope we take lessons from this, and not face the next one in the same manner. Folks will read & think about this, and respond differently; better, one hopes. If our enemy thinks us weak and consistently cowed, another think will be induced.

Too positive? I could grump about hell & handbags as easily, but I'm questioning the bytching about the Boston citizenry as sheep. Yeah, maybe this time they willingly cooperated, but, kinda like 'fool me once....'
