No draft

Yeah, of all the things protested during Nam, the inequities of the way we had a draft was one I had to agree with.

The military that we have had since the draft was abolished has more than proved the point of a voluntary military. Hardly anything about the decline of America has been is discouraging as the abuse this fine military. Giving back righteous purposes, I don't think there would be any question of our volunteer army doing just fine.

That said, if you have a draft, every man and woman gets drafted at 18. If you can't fight or train to fight, you'll find someplace to serve. You will be ready.

And maybe, since the real problem with everything in a democracy is the electorate, maybe if you head only those who had served as the electorate, it would help.
