Pet Evils
Okay, slow morning. I'll dare to share a quote I went looking for and actually found (yay search engines) regarding "pet evils." Not that it matters, but the context was "go and sell all that you have," the story of the fellow who wanted to join Jesus' disciples, but whose attachment to his wealth wouldn't let him.
"Almost every human being has some one thing which is held on to as a pet evil, and which the entrance into the kingdom of heaven requires as a part of the price of admission." Emphasis mine.
