Pistol Pete

With no daily Pistol Pete’s post to attach items to, I feel lost, so looking where to post this, the “Redskins” article seemed appropriate for this cowboy tale:

Today I was searching images of the ol’ home town, and then going to the image sources. One picture led me to Old West Legends website, the story of Frank B. “Pistol Pete” Eaton – Fastest Draw in Indian Territory. I was well aware of Eaton, but learned a few new things, including that he once resided in m’ ol’ home town. The picture of him the year before he died is classic. What a character.

Our Pete may not have the full crazy mustache, but I like to think of our Pete this way in spirit: [Pistol Pete] “was known to always carry a pair of loaded Colt .45 pistols on his hips. In his own words he said his best insurance was: ‘Throwin’ a lot a lead fast and straight.’”
