So, thirty-nine years ago

So, thirty-nine years ago, this Chicago girl I met at college says she's coming to visit me in Oklahoma. Oct 1, she's going to arrive at 7 in the morning in Ponca City on the train.

Passenger trains stop in Oklahoma? I had no idea. And why Ponca City? Why didn't they stop in Tulsa? Sheesh! I'd never even been to Ponca City. Wasn't sure where it was.

So I drove over to pick her up, at seven in the morning, at the train station, in Ponca City.

Well, skip forward a little bit, and three kids and thirty-nine years later, that girl and I have a hotel room with a hot tub for the night.

Cheers!
