166. 137 T. K. RYAN retired and brought Tumbleweeds to a conclusion (after a 42-year run) on December 30, 2007.

42 years, and that was five years ago? Whew. I remember when it began. It harked to F Troop, and was refreshing and funny until the gags started cycling formulaicly. I think that was week #2, the formula Davis later employed with such success. /snark
