When the Wall Fell

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday, so, a day late.

Has it been twenty-five years already? Hard to believe.

I was nine when the Berlin Wall went up. It was excruciatingly clear to me that they weren't building the wall to keep people out. That defined the Soviet Union for me forever.

My daughter was nine when the Berlin Wall came down. She was as impressed as I had been at her age; fortunately, for new reasons.
