(I can't help but hear those lines of Spider-Man's in Stan Lee's voice.)
Actor George Takei tweeted that he could use the Eastwood tactic at next week's Democratic National Convention.
"I'm drafting a DNC speech to imaginary Romney in an empty factory," Takei's tweet said.

1. Image
Sorry, I liked your Mr. Sulu, and I recently enjoyed re-watching your funny performance in Oblivion, but... seriously?
Clint Eastwood versus George Takei, public perception:
If Takai is comfortable in his own gay skin, that's great, and if he's happier being out about it than otherwise, whatever works for him is fine with me. I'd like George to be happy. But, gotta say, this sets him up as the epitome of fruitiness versus the embodiment of machismo. Representative of the Democrats begging the Republicans for the imminent beat-down? Bringing a rapier to a gunfight?
2. Message
Obama has the legacy of empty factories and destroyed economy. Romney's campaign has just released a whole series of videos about businesses and factories he saved or created.
The empty chair meme is already viral, and isn't going to go away. The empty factory idea is so eminently forgettable I nearly had to look back up at the tweet to remember what it was.
3. Effectiveness
Well, following our lead is hardly a winning strategy

The world first got a look at the prototypical beatnik character Maynard G. Krebbs (and, for many of us, star of the show) in the first episode of Dobie Gillis. This frame comes from right at the end of the first scene where Maynard appeared, just as we segue from classroom to the town, which townscape just happens to have that word where Maynard is sitting in the previous scene.
In the film editor's world, this is no coincidence.
And then, poor Maynard got trapped on that island for the rest of his life…!
"All of a sudden this man gets up and says,
'How long will you blame the previous administration for all of your problems?'" Albright recounted."I said, 'Forever.'"
The story prompted laughter and applause from the crowd.
