AllenG: "We often forget lying does as much (and sometimes more) damage to the liar as it does to the liee. It's not good for your mental health to lie."

The Arkansides take a toll, too.

Seems like there's two lying types: Ones who might once have had a conscience, and those who never did.

Those who had a conscience, don't really lose it, they ignore its voice and it eats away cancerously at the mind.Perhaps Hill was once an idealist with a conscience.

The soulless sociopath is not similarly vexed in spirit. Can't think of a good example offhand....

"A friend of Scankles says she was an 'enthusiastic pot user' in her youth. So that is what changed he brain to mush."

One look at pictures of the Clintons' hippite days, their usage is assumed! If Bill "never inhaled" it was only because he was to busy snorting.

As to what turned her mind to mush, no, Vic, I'd guess the politics of untruth probably did more damage by far. Helped by the coke and the booze of course, but mostly living a life of pure evil.

We might actually all have been better off if they'd just kept being potheads!

And I saw Friends of Scankles open for Indigo Girls, and greatly regretted it.

Wood, 55, argued he has a First Amendment right to details about the state's lethal injection method, the qualifications of the executioner and who makes the drugs. Such demands for greater transparency have become a new legal tactic in death penalty cases in recent months.

First Amendment clearly states a citizen's right to know what calibre bullet will be used in the execution. It's right there next to the freedom from religion clause.

Morning, Glories. It's hot in Oklahoma in mid-July. Darned humans!

Re the "Jacob was a cheater" graphic:

As the list went on, I found, I wept. Aren't we a troubled bunch! And yet...

"And Lazarus was dead" brought a :) though. That wasn't even his fault!

"As we forgive others" is relatively easy sometimesw compared to forgiving oneself.

I'm the clumsiest guy at funerals; I never learned the Words To Say in tragic times; but I read the post and I sympathize, Pete. "We chose to celebrate rather than mourn what cannot be changed." Well said. It's practically the only way to get through this life; at least, that's all I have to cling to. Not that we don't mourn, as well; it's just… moderated.

Scratched hard drive. Hahahahaha! :rage:

http://smilies.mee.nu/ really needs a :rage: icon.

And a flaming skull icon!!

Scratch:

1. a small incision (I scratched my hand pulling out the hard drive)

2. to completly abandon or utterly destroy (how Lois "scratched" her hard drive: http://youtu.be/AebpSXIMyRI?t=1m38s )

3. Proper Noun, the Devil. (Ol' Scratch had his hand in this.)

This administration,
They're plainly guilty, dang 'em.
Skip investigation,
Frog-march 'em out and replace them with competent people.

rickb223: "When all you have is babushkas, a 20 yr old intern is a runway model."

That really was my first thought.

Beautiful Russian gals I've seen was my second thought, though.

Although I suppose... Living in Chicago, my favorite season was Spring , when the winter wraps started coming off all the lovely young ladies. I can imagine Boris may suffer under those longer Russian winters.

Via Drudge, Blaze article on Israel threatening Pres Clinton with Monica tapes (which tapes apparently the whole spy world had), many paragraphs down, this amusement:

"Offering some additional support, Boris Yeltsin, the former president, wrote in his memoir that Russian intelligence had picked up on Clinton's 'predilection for beautiful young women.'"

Beautiful, Boris? Really? Have you seen the photos?

"Didn't go so well for the last group of people the US gov. dumped in Oklahoma."

Actually, the journey was bad, but it was, ultimately, all to the good once they got here. Building a big new Cherokee (or is it Osage?) Medical Center south of me. The casinos are thriving. See many nice cars with various Indian nation license plates. Their descendents get to live in the conservativist state. But joking aside, it was, then, as now, an out-of-control Fed warring on Americans.

As to what Okla politicos are doing, this Okie has been sort-of wondering. (Alas my main new source, Vic, doesn't always cover Okla news extensively.)

Coburn has spoken out, our other Senator was apparently allowed to visit the Ft Sill camp, but my Rep. Bridenstein was not. I have not heard enough from Gov Fallin - she did note nine of the aliens are dot-Indian! I know of no proposed actual action, but we're all in the same boat, like Perry - what do you do when the Fed and the immigation authorities have the opposite goals as the state's?

This demonic situation has to be dealt with at the top.

You know what's faster than impeachment?

Mmmmmmorning, Glories.

I like the melty cat especially.

Jigsaw cat and keyboard cat. Yes! They certainly know how to get right in the middle of whatever we’re doing. Like, on the book you’re reading.

Here’s a true cat story, and by story I mean a one-page comic (forgive me if I’ve posted this before): Opened Your Mail for You

Re "Stephen King’s ignorant tweet"

I find this applies increasingly frequently:

"There is nothing so stupid as the educated man if you get him off the thing he was educated in." -Will Rogers

Other recent examples, billionaires Warren Buffett, Sheldon Adelson and Bill Gates calling for immigration "amnesty" and Dawking and Hawkins [heh] on the reality of God.

Or, any Hollyweird celebrity speaking without a script.

Bill H: "'I live for the day that a chicken may cross the road without having it's motives questioned.'"

Heh. Yeah, that's a good one.

The graphic that I linked, I would've given a h/t to wherever I saw it, but on the cell a quick check on a couple of sites didn't show it so I image-searched, thank you evil Google. So, h/t to PoliNation, Bluebird of Bitterness, Liberal Logic, Moonbattery, Ace of Spades (who?), or one of the half-dozen other sites at which I might've seen it.

We need smarter software.

Neighbors from the home town. I like my town. These do not present its best face. So, they're not listed publicly. You can watch them, though.

What's-it-about clue: I posted these links the other night in response to the beat-up child molester pic. Thought some in the morning crew might like a sick laugh.
