Haven't read all the comments. but have read back quite a ways from the bottom.

So, excuse me if this has been done.

Two drug-dealing hippies bike around the country to a great sound track, then die.

(Which is how it felt in theaters in the original run. Girlfriend and I were underwhelmed.)
