2012 listing of homicide totals... Chicago - 506
We moved the family out of the Mrs's home kingdom, my favorite city, in 1994. Our Chicago was insulated from most of the rumbling back then. When the offspring were young, we had a very good and balanced life, with wonderful support from my in-laws. It hurt to leave, and we very much missed that support (and lost our balance).
