I May Not Read Much, Or Fast, But I Sure Enjoy It.

Still slowly plowing my way through M. Twain's autobiography, complete and authoritative edition, volume 1. I may not read much, or fast, but I sure enjoy it. As I may have said before, I run across bits I'd like to quote here, but for full effect, I'd have to quote a prohibitive number of paragraphs.

I was just reading Twain's description of getting caught swearing by his bride of ten years. Hilarious. Had to read it aloud to Milady.

"I dreaded the day when she should discover that I was but a whited sepulchre partly freighted with suppressed language."
