Where is the "before (or after) the book thread open thread"?? The EMT died a sudden death over an hour ago. I don' wanna read 'bout no dang musty old boooks. I cut that cable.

Alas, no time to read post or comments @now.

WeirdDave, since you seem to still be here...
So, while I caught up on the tail-end of the overnight, you all were already progressing to the art thread. I've still gotta at least catch JJ's headlines.

My life may be so discombobulated that I never get to read books...
...and rarely even get to read the book thread post, much less the comments...

My 2¢ on the suppositional scenario...

I read the headline as:

P. J. O'Rourke is still alive? Huh.
Maybe I was confusing him with, you know, whatzisname that old drug-indulging writer I never read that became a Doonesbury character.
OM: ...On the other hand, for all the talk of 2016 being a bad year, consider...
That's a pretty good list.
I want an app and interface where I can just close my eyes, lie in bed, and read and write comments on AoS.
I've really been trying to hoping to shift back to early-to-bed early-to-rise, but it's hard to do when I sit here and read ONT comments endlessly.
Hokey smokes, Bullwinkle! (Looking at panoramic pic) Lurkette swim mom may actually have more books than we do! And shelves just as neatly arrayed!
I would read the comments, but... I'm still back at the top of the pet thread... been a busy weekend.
250 comments whiz by while I'm watching a dumb TV show. I may not be prioritizing wisely.
Now I have to enter the transporter and IP scrambler.
Reading back up-thread a ways...

There I was, just rolling along, reading the post when suddenly (V-8 forehead slap) I realized, I was reading the post. WTF? So I jumped down here to say hi.
Hi.
Sabrina Chase: People with no books at all in their homes cannot be trusted. How else can you surreptitiously get a sense of their minds by scanning the shelves?
@votermom #7: ...I was looking for a dad book to put on the blog and found a 1953 little golden book...
That was cute.
Greetings, moron literati!
I didn't get to participate in last week's book thread. Was busy renunioning with relatives.

Gotta wonder what those glasses of (looks like) milk are for!
._!_.
G'mornin', booklets!
Well, okay, I guess the post wasn't that extraordinarily long. Just seemed that way at first glance. I was only on my first cup of coffee.
