A Maryland high school punished a student for refusing to profess faith in Islam, gave her failing grades for a series of assignments that violated her Christian beliefs then threatened her father with arrest for complaining, a federal lawsuit charges.… Plaintiffs are Marine Corps veteran John Kevin Wood and his wife, Melissa, who “refuse[d] to allow their teenage daughter to be subjected to Islamic indoctrination and propaganda in her high school world history class.” The lawsuit charges that the defendants’ “curriculum, practices, policies, actions, procedures, and customs promote the Islamic faith by requiring students to profess the five pillars if Islam.” …lawsuit charges that school officials concealed the curriculum by using two separate history textbooks, one of which contained the Islamic teachings and which students were required to leave at school. The other, which did not contain the teachings, was allowed to be taken home… John Kevin Wood discovered the teachings and called to voice his objections, the lawsuit says, but the school imposed a “no trespass” order against him, threatening him with arrest if he came onto school property.…

A man who was carrying a backpack containing two handguns (one of them an automatic), ammunition, and a Koran was arrested when he attempted to enter the hotel at Disneyland Paris. Police are searching for a suspected accomplice, who is also the man’s lover. To the great relief of the residents of the hotel, authorities say that the incident had nothing to do with Islam.

A female employee of an asylum center near Gothenburg in Sweden was stabbed to death by one of the residents of the center. Since the center is for culture-enrichers who are — or claim to be — 14 to 17 years old, the alleged suspected perpetrator is a “youth”, and no further information is available about him. His motivation for the crime is unknown, but the family and friends of the victim are consoling themselves with the knowledge that the incident had nothing to do with Islam.

When the owner of a petting zoo in the Netherlands discovered that a group of Muslims had taken over its public space for prayers, he ejected them from the premises, prompting accusations of “Islamophobia”. There’s no word on whether the men in the group availed themselves of the zoo animals for carnal relations.

Speaking of farm animals, a Scottish mine worker in Kyrgyzstan got himself in trouble for ridiculing the country’s national dish. Michael McFeat posted a photo on Facebook of diners queuing for “chuchuk”, a horsemeat sausage, and the photo’s caption compared the culinary delicacy to the masculine equipment of a stallion. The other mine workers were so angry they called a strike, and Mr. McFeat was arrested.

When two-year-old Scarlette Tipton first met her new 3-month-old friend in December, she noticed right away what made Holly special.

At least three terror attacks occurred in the West on New Year’s Day. That’s not counting the Amish terrorists who set fire to the skyscraper in Dubai; technically speaking, that happened on New Year’s Eve. Besides, it’s not in the West.

The first attack was at a street café in Tel Aviv, where a man opened fire on patrons with an automatic weapon, killing two people and wounding seven others. The perpetrator is still at large. Police are mystified as to his motive, although a Koran was reportedly found in his backpack.

The second attack also occurred in Tel Aviv, when a kinetic activist with a knife stabbed two people to death outside a synagogue. The perpetrator was restrained by passersby and is now in custody.

The third attack was at a mosque in France. A North African man drove his car into a group of soldiers guarding the mosque, lightly injuring one of them. The driver was shot by one of the soldiers, but not killed, and is now in custody. His motive remains unknown, but according to at least one report, he shouted “Allahu akhbar” as he drove his car into the soldiers. …
