…On this day in 1950 Harry Gold was sentenced to 30 years in jail for helping Klaus Fuchs pass information about the Manhattan Project to the Soviet Union. He had become enamored with communism when he was a youth, much like Scankles. His testimony was later instrumental in the prosecution of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg which is why I suppose he was not fried in the electric cooker like they were. …
