…On this day in 1933 the National Industrial Recovery Act was passed. It was the first of FDR's BS depression recovery programs. It was a dismal failure as was all his "recovery" programs. It was subsequently declared unconstitutional by SCOTUS but that did not deter FDR. He was in office long enough to pack the courts, it just took longer than he wanted.
