Slapweasel: Turns out it is "shawarma".
Yeah, that was a good scene.
I set up the coffee machine for the morning before I pour myself a beverage. It's good to have routines.

Pretty fun one for Crowder
On this day 36 years ago, The Empire Strikes Back was released.
"Hey guys! You ever see that really old movie, Empire Strikes Back?" -Spider-Man in Civil War
Third-season Man From UNCLE...
Bossy Conservative #68 ...Way back when, Daman Wayans created "HandyMan", a sort of handicapped superhero...
What's so odd about that?
Captain Whitebread #24: Marvel and Warner Bros:
If the trends reverse and you need a hero with a middle-age spread, call me.
Quickly, before Ace gets up. (heh)
Liked the Daredevil series, so I decided to give Jessica Jones a try. (Partly because she got a mention in the DD series.) It's pretty good.
So...
If it hadn't been for Justice Ginsberg's husband...
Rorschach would never have donned his mask.
"DC's Legends of Justice series"? Does Legends of Tomorrow have a different name in your neighborhood? :D
Bob Greenwade - I thought I read that Jonah Hex was already scheduled for LoT.
In under - or close to - 100.
But, I'm watching superhero teevee, so I'm not really here yet. Just on break.

This will be the first tale in the Harry Potter series not to be penned by Rowling.
Oh, a Golden Ager by S&S. Thanks. Just read up on him in the DCUniverseOnline wiki. Sometimes I have to V-8 forehead slap myself for not realizing I can websearch everything.
Okay, I haven't been much of a comics reader since the 80s Indy crash, but... who is Doctor Occult? And why does he look like Dick Tracy?
While Brainiac vs Ultron is a great cover, and concept, I couldn't help thinking, what if they merged ("networked" as it were)? That would be a bad combination.
Agreed on no Iron Giant sequel. Don't mess with perfection!
Nevertheless, the Magnus-Iron Giant cover is a good mix. Home Magnus figures out IG is a good guy.
Bruce With a Wang!: Have great memories of sitting with friends reading each others comic books and trading. A real rite of passage.
Christopher Taylor: Not even really comparable at any level.
@votermom: I personally find idea of She-Hero characters insulting. She-Thor? Why not Frigg, or someone rlse who is actually female in the original panthron?
Morning, Glories! A cool, rainy morning here in NE OK.
A couple of my own items I thought I'd post before perusing the Vic News and y'all's comments. And before the next thread hits.
Christopher Taylor: Where did random newspaper dude get clothing design skills, and a special non flammable polymer material for capes?
Dianny, not to be critical... okay, being a little critical... the head is just a little bit large proportionally, don't you think? Hey, I'm a wannabe photoshopperist; I sympathize. :D
Laurie David's Cervix from prev thread:
Yvonne Craig, who originated the role of Batgirl Barbara Gordon in the 1960s Batman show, passed away Monday night at the age of 78.
FS: Getting mad at God - reminds me of something I read about a marital counselor.
I enjoy your usual superhero crossovers. I enjoy your occasional cartoonish match-ups (still chuckle at Phoney and Uncle $).
An Observation: The problem with Comic Books is that they may train the mind to need pictures to go along with words for comprehension - thus stunting the ability of the mind to understand witho

Morning, Glories!
Finished reading comments in the last thread too late to say hello there. Hello here.
z: …they’ve got a chick in Wolverine’s signature outfit, being wolverine, and that’s not cool. Just as “Lady Thor” wasn’t cool.
