On this day in 1819 the Adams-Onís Treaty was made in which Spain agreed to sell Florida to the United States for five million U.S. dollars ($78M today) and the settlement of the boundary between the US and New Spain (Mexico). The $5M was not to be paid to Spain but was to be used to pay American citizens' legal claims against Spain.…

Meanwhile, European Migration Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos has written to the Austrian interior minister, warning her that Austria’s decision to cap the number of migrants entering the country is forbidden under EU regulations and international law. …

The two are “Frenchmen” of Algerian and Pakistani origin, and posed as Syrian refugees when they entered Greece using stolen Syrian passports provided by the Islamic State.

Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz says that as soon as Austria has admitted its quota of 37,000 “refugees”, Macedonia must close its borders to any further migrants. Austria will send troops to FYROM to facilitate this process.

A Somali immigrant named Mohamed Barry entered a restaurant in Columbus, Ohio and began slashing at patrons with a machete, wounding four of them, one of them critically. He reportedly thought the restaurant was Jewish-owned, when it was in fact owned by an Israeli Arab Christian. After being vigorously resisted by customers and staff, the assailant fled. When he was stopped by police shortly afterwards, he lunged at the officers with a knife and a machete, and was shot to death. The incident had a Mohammed Coefficient of 100%.

In other news, three Pakistani “refugees” were arrested for allegedly raping a 19-year-old male compatriot at an asylum shelter where they all resided in Vicenza, Italy. …

During the trial of a culture-enricher in Hannover, Germany, a court heard that the alleged perpetrator cried “Allahu akhbar!” as he brutally raped a 25-year-old student. In possibly unrelated news, a culture-enriching prisoner cried “Allahu akhbar!” as he attacked a guard with the metal seat of a stool in a prison in Washington State. The guard suffered brain damage, and is still recovering from his injuries.
