…On this day in 1973 the Paris Peace Accords were signed officially ending the Vietnam war. However the North never abided by them and continued action. The US cut and run and the Senate under control of the Democrats never ratified the treaty. The congress also refused to allow the US to supply more military equipment to South Vietnam.…
A female employee of an asylum center near Gothenburg in Sweden was stabbed to death by one of the residents of the center. Since the center is for culture-enrichers who are — or claim to be — 14 to 17 years old, the alleged suspected perpetrator is a “youth”, and no further information is available about him. His motivation for the crime is unknown, but the family and friends of the victim are consoling themselves with the knowledge that the incident had nothing to do with Islam.
In other news, in order to make sure that newly-arrived “refugees” in the Netherlands are not discriminatory against gays, the Dutch authorities are planning to hold gay rights seminars in asylum centers. The program will be based on a model used in secondary schools.…

The port at Calais was shut down after some fifty migrants managed to board a ferry that was bound for Britain. 500 migrants forced their way past police lines and headed for the port, and 150 managed to breach the barrier fence. Of those, fifty made it onto the ferry.

Austria has decided to impose stringent border controls at the Spielfeld crossing from Slovenia, where would-be migrants will be thoroughly vetted and searched. The Slovenian government says that if Germany and Austria continue with tightening border controls, it will suspend the Schengen rules itself. When Vienna imposes limits on the number of migrants that can enter Austria, Slovenia will do the same at its own borders.

Meanwhile, a former Dutch soldier may face a murder charge for traveling to Syria and joining the coalition against the Islamic State. He reportedly killed an ISIS fighter, which violates Dutch law.
In other news, Germany is planning to build repatriation centers where Algerian and Moroccan asylum seekers will be housed until they are deported. Since Algeria and Morocco are not war zones, their citizens are unlikely to be granted asylum in Germany.…
…On this day in 1967 Albert DeSalvo, AKA the "Boston Strangler", was convicted of numerous crimes and was sentenced to life imprisonment. Oddly enough he was convicted of sex crimes, including rape and murder of one woman, and not all the actual strangler cases. He was sent to a mental hospital where he escaped. After that he was sent to a maximum-security prison where he was stabbed to death.…
