Bernie Sanders
Ron Radosh, PJ Media • Mon 2016 Feb 8, 6:11pm

…In 1963, when Sanders traveled to Israel to work on a kibbutz there were scores of American Jewish students who also volunteered. So it is rather strange that Sanders has consistently refused to tell the press about his time there and the kibbutz he worked on. When asked, he and his campaign dodged the issue.

Why would Sanders not answer such a simple question?…

Keane Schwarz is certain he knows the outcome of the vote in his precinct: He was the lone caucusgoer in Woodbury County No. 43. But the Iowa Democratic Party’s final results state that Hillary Clinton won one county delegate and Bernie Sanders received zero. …“It was really suspicious … I’m actually pretty irate about it.”…

I think this goes a little beyond "suspicious." Alas, this may be the biggest indicator out of Iowa of what's in store for November's general election.

…Trump is not a conservative. …Trump is a pragmatist. …Viewing problems from a liberal perspective has resulted in the creation of more problems… Viewing things according to the so-called Republican conservative perspective has brought continued spending, globalism to the detriment of American interests and well-being …

Note that he does not address real conservatism. Bad comparison, Joe Dan. Not too respectable.Skirts the real problem with Trump.

…So, two days ago, Donald Trump was sputtering with rage over Ted Cruz allegedly stealing the Iowa election. He was threatening to sue. He was demanding that the Iowa caucus be redone. He was howling like a wounded beagle.

And now?

He’s always liked Ted Cruz and hasn’t ruled him out as his Vice Presidential pick.

But what about his outrage over Iowa?…

“I don’t care about that anymore.”…in my day we called it bipolar this sudden shift from manic to calm. They make movies about crazies like this…

“It makes me mad when Trump says that… Ted Cruz is my friend, so if Mr. Trump or anyone else is saying Ted Cruz doesn’t have any friends in the Senate, I can say unequivocally, that is not true. I am his friend and I don’t regard myself as alone in that either.”…

…“I think I would choose Trump (over Cruz), which may surprise some of you,” he said.

“The reason is, Trump has proven already he’s completely malleable. I don’t think he has any fixed (positions) he’d go the White House and fight for. On the other hand, Ted Cruz is not malleable. He has far right wing policies he’d pursue if he became president,” Carter concluded.…

A ringing, if unintentional, endorsement for Cruz from one of the worst-ever Presidents.

Theodore A. Gebhard, American Thinker • Thu 2016 Jan 28, 10:08pm

Contrary to some who have expressed concerns about Ted Cruz’s temperament and qualifications to be an effective president, my experience in working with the Texas senator and Republican presidential candidate during the early 2000s convinces me that he is the right person at the right time for the job.

Although not a close friend of Senator Cruz, I got to know him reasonably well as a colleague at the Federal Trade Commission from mid-2001 until he left the commission to return to Texas in 2003. During that time, we worked together on a number of projects…

In this capacity, I was able to observe Ted’s professional skills, his personal characteristics, and, significantly, his commitment to constitutionalism, the rule of law, and free-market economics. These personal observations impel me to conclude not only that Ted possesses the qualifications to be president in terms of intellect, temperament, and knowledge of the issues facing the country; but even
more importantly, that he is uniquely the right person to lead America at this time in its history.…
