sunrise
Morning, Glories!
Vic and the EMTs have got to get together! By which I mean the EMTs. Vic's got it together.
First breakfast done.
Setting coffee maker to "invigorate."
Giant flaming heatball is above the horizon.
Weird: The clock on the mantle, which has not been adjusted for Government Interference Time, shows that sunrise occurred at pretty much the same time as yesterday.
Hello.
Oh, brrr. It's a miserable 46° here this morning before sunrise, and temperatures are only going to go up to the high 70s.
No EMT but straight to news dump?
What?
Morning, y'all.
Whew. Rescued from the previous thread... uh... wait, sixty comments already? I have a feeling something - the Hot Air influx maybe? - is making it harder to keep up.
I don't think Jeb Bush is a bad guy. Some things he says and does are right-on.
It's just the important issues where he always seems to be dead wrong.
Capturing a morning, or trying to - just a photo.
The nearly-full moon was still up when I got up. Next time I looked out, it was dark. Now it's starting to get light again, but not yet as bright as it was an hour and a half ago.
Rose-rimmed horizon
Pale blue canopy
Not so bitterly cold
Another day wakes up
Morning, Glories!
Morning, Glories.
Big orange-red ball of fire just crept over the horizon, sending its searing light across ninety-three million miles of space, through our atmosphere, under the big arbor vitae by the shed, through
Somebody owes me a good night's sleep!
Morning, Glories! Only 150 comments to catch up this morning? I thought I was running later than that.
Dark purple clouds on the eastern horizon, underlit with red from the still-hidden sun, scattered against an increasingly-light-blue sky. Great white clouds of fog lift off the pasture.
♫ And I think it's gonna be all right
Yeah, the worst is over now.
The morning sun is shining like
a red giant nuclear furnace...
Vic is "back" and we're already playing hide'n'go seek with the news?
Must be Monday. We even got Gabe!
Hey! That's the view I get when I step out the door each morning. Most mornings, anyway.
The sun, still rising far to the North, cast a red ray down between the trees on the horizon, illuminating the fog lifting off the pastures to a glowing coral.
Composing an Ode to the Morning,
But it just does not feel right
to post an Ode to the Morning
at the end of the Overnight.
If you can't trust a politician, who can you trust?
A light fog blankets the land. An owl hoots gently through the mists. Cats loll in the yard, watching birds and squirrels. Marvelously timeless.
I took a cell cam pic of the sunrise, trying to capture the layers of rising fog, trees on the horizon, layers of red and purple in the sky.
Oh, Jesus Christ Superstar, huh? #45
I see we went Car Thread in under 100.
Vic's news was strangely not filling at all this morning.
I woke up so late the sun was up.
Morning, Glories!
Every morning lately, about the time that I arise, the temperature plunges, before starting a quick climb back up. Got down to freezing this morning. The forecasts never predict this dip.
Sunrise has finally begun. Looking East, up the hill, traces of fog weave among the pines on the horizon, beneath a turquoise sky braided with clumps of pink and purple cloud.
Morning, Glories! Thanks for the news round-up, Vic.
You folks back east, how about you share that sun? I'll loan you some of our 70° day later!
