Gimli
Friends,
Our dear ol' Defender Doggie has problems.
Back from reading the morning thread and feeding the pesks.
"What Having A Dog Can Teach You About Life"
Yeah, to paraphrase the old slogan, you don't have to be Muslim to be a suicidal mass-murderer.
Finally got some food and got the coffee going. Still waiting for the sun.
I see we went Car Thread in under 100.
Vic's news was strangely not filling at all this morning.
I woke up so late the sun was up.
When Defender Doggie decided it was time to go out, I walked out with him. There in the driveway were three fawns, a few other white-tail scattered about the lawn.
Well, that was different. Heard a hawk screeching close by the house.
Stringer Davis > funny story.
My dog is not so selective. Gunshot, thunder, car backfires, he's unhappy.
whew. caught up. prob time for new post?

Hello. My dog wanted me to wake up and tell you that it's all right, you're safe inside, the thunder can't hurt you. Good boy.
With the cool weather, we have the windows open and the fans off. Nice and quiet.
Coffee's cooking. Signs of daylight. Defender Dog wants to go out and play, but keeps running back to me. I think he wants me to make it quit thundering.
Howdy, Gnu, Poppins.
Teej, Anna, Apprentice, howdy.
We've got thunder rolling in. Figured I'd just get up before Defender Dog came complaining to me about it .
Be nice to get some rain.
Storms broke loudly at 5am. Got up to let in and dry off the cat who refused to come in last night. The dog demanded constant reassuring petting. So, going back to bed quickly became a non-option.
Barkeeper's Friend - heh. Used it for ages. Welcome to the club.
HEY! Hi. I'm home alone.
Well, I'm not home at the moment, but I'm left "back home."
Just me.

"...to ask whether, you know, they're all psychopaths."
Projection, how it works!
A most excellent remembrance for Memorial Day.
SOMEbody carelessly left some yard tools on the front porch, and a few minutes ago, they fell over.
Four a.m. I wake, know it's early, roll over to go back to sleep, when...
pitch, porch, always start the day with an error, so you don't spend the day wondering when you're first going to f up.
Okay, I'll let you go out, but please don't stand on the pitch and bark.
He must have understood me. 'cause he went 'way out in the yard to bark.
Good dog.
Deer run pretty. Dog is back from the chase.
FenelonSpoke, I'm enjoying the walks with you.
Missed my usual sunrise glory today. Overcast just went from moon-backlit to sun-backlit. At least, I assume that's the sun up there.
Our five month puppy decided at 0430 to save us from the three rabid deer on the other side of the fence. Howl then furious bark.

Good puppy.
Wow, between lack of Vic news and DSTTSS (daylight savings time traumatic stress syndrome), the morning gang seems slow. Quick! Amuse me lest I be forced to do real life things!

There were half a dozen deer out by the gravyard. Then the dog saw them. Now they're all gone.
A good old late-Summer Oklahoma thunderstorm rolled in around 3:30 I guess.
"What was the secret? "
"...hardly ever put them him out on the tether...."
I would just like to file a Caturday report, that all of our cats and the dog all seem to be happy and healthy, freely wandering in and out of the house and around the yard.
