Santa Claus
Reflections of Christmas Past - links to Christmastime webworks
First of the month fun and features for December 2019.
Getting caught up on backlog of Sunny Side going back months. Having fun.
A politically incorrect and culturally inappropriate Christmas show - pop song parodies and original tunes sure to put coal in my stocking.
In my current spate of commenting, I have embedded two videos, including one of my own. So, rather than clutter the blog with another, I'll just give you the link.
About the Santa story: I had seen the headline and noted the video, but put off reading or watching, because just the headline was so moving, and this season has my eyes kinda scratchy a lot.
The Real St. Nicholas contrasts "Santa Claus" with St Nick.
Hey, hi there! Is the ONT late or am I hungry? For cookies and hot chocolate!
Bitter Clinger: ...how NORAD started tracking Santa...
Thanks for that! Added a link to it from my terrible Christmas song page because related - with a h/t to you, Clinger.
FS: ...one of my favorite memories of Christmas was when the boy was young enough to do the NORAD tracking for Santa; he was so excited.
Okay, friends, piping-hot fresh from the Mindful Webworkshop, a short but sour little Christmas ditty I wrote in 1991 and finally got around to recording today.
A cynical song about Santa. Short but sour.
"conflation of Santa and God" - I should probably more exactly have said Santa and the Spirit.
Sort-of in response to the fellow talking about a grandmother telling the 5yo there is no Santa Claus (that was on the ONT, if my sleepyheaded memory is correct), and in the vein of "Yes Virginia,"
Ho Ho Ho! Good morning, Polinationalists.
I don't think I found this here, so…
Santa Claus shot with pellet gun at DC toy giveaway... -Bean Pies!
Boondocks did it.
Riley is the culprit.
What kind of kid wants to see Santa flanked by a fighter escort? I mean, besides pretty much every damn kid I ever knew. -RWC
